MBA remains one of the most sought-after courses. The landscape is also highly competitive. For limited seats in top business schools, applicants compete to grab their admission spots. So, if you’re looking to study MBA in a renowned college abroad, you will very likely face the same high competition. And unless you outdo the majority of them, getting admission to a world-renowned business school is going to be extremely challenging, if not completely impossible.
This is where the conversation comes to GMAT and if GMAT score is enough to get admission to a top business school for international students.

For management programs, you need to show your GMAT score. Of course, the higher you score in your GMAT, the better you would be positioned to get admission. Between 650 and 690, the GMAT score is considered good. Anything above 700 is considered great. So, if you want admission to a top business school, you need at least 650; to improve your chances, you should ideally strive for 700+.
That said though, even if you score the highest GMAT score, that alone doesn’t assure you admission. Top business schools look for more than just the academic background of the applicants. While you need an excellent academic record, you need much more. For one, almost every top business school requires the applicants to have adequate work experience. They prefer candidates who have demonstrated their leadership skills and emotional intelligence one way or another. The admission committees also look at applicant’s soft skills. The challenges you have faced in the past and how you responded like a leader, your professional (and personal) aspirations, your cultural and societal understandings. All these play a role in the admission process. It’s much more than just about the GMAT score. In fact,
even if you score less in the GMAT but have a rich track record of working with good brands and/or running a business yourself, you can still be considered for admission to a top business school.
So, do search “best GMAT coaching near me” and prepare better for the test. But, at the same time, also look for profile building courses in Kolkata that can help add more value to your profile. A valuable profile (that includes good communication skills, community work, and more) can make your admission application much more appealing.
Remember, admission to some of the world’s leading business schools for an MBA is not just about your grades and scores. These institutes want the best candidate that has all-round, wholesome profile.
